AussieHost.com servers are located just outside of the Sydney CBD, close enough for very high speed connections, but being far enough away to limit exposure to infrastructure attacks or disasters in the CBD. The datacentre we utilise features N+1 connectivity, eco friendly power and raised floor cooling with hot air extraction.
With the efficient use of raised floor cooling vents infront of each cabinet, and hot air extraction at the top of the cabinet, power is kept at a minimum.
The Data Centre has backup power systems consisting of APC UPS systems and a backup diesel generator containing 24 hours of diesel stored on site as well as contracts in place for the further supply of diesel.
If you'd like to test our network speed through your ISP, you can run some download test from these 2 links. When you click the download test link, you'll see a popup window asking you to save the test file. Choose "Yes", or "Save File", and then the file will start to download and you can see what kind of speed you're receiving from your connection to the server through your ISP. Some folks find this kind of information useful but it won't neccessarily reflect the speed that those connecting to your websites hosted on our server will receive, through their ISPs. This download test is meant to be a general speed test, and obviously the better your internet speed then the faster you will download that test file.
